feeding ducks

Eventful Weekend

So our weekend started out by hanging out with our friends Leesa and Joe on Friday. Max and Mckenna played with their two girls which are close in age. Izzy kept hugging Mckenna and Ellie played with Max like she was one of the guys. It was fun to watch them. Saturday morning Max had soccer practice and Sunday we went to the park. Max let the geese and ducks eat right out of his hand. I was surprised he would let them get that close. And finally the grand finale Sunday night around 6:30. Mckenna climbed into the downstairs bathroom sink and turned on the hot water. Skin immediately started peeling off. So we took her to urgent care and she has 2nd degree burns on her left foot. We have to clean and keep it bandaged for two weeks. She has some good medicine so she is comfortable and happy for the time being. Oh how I could protect the kids from every accident that could ever happen but I know that things will happen.

Eric the garbage man

This morning we gave Eric his banana bread and picture that Max and I made. Eric was very appreciative. It's been about a 1 1/2 that we have been watching and waving to Eric every Wednesday.

Garbage Man

We made a poster and some banana bread for Eric the garbage man. Every Wednesday at 7:30 am, Max knows to get up and go down stairs. We have been sitting at the window saying hi to him for a year 1/2 now. Eric has been so nice to us and loves seeing us at the window. He has brought Max toys, he honks the horn and puts on a show with the garbage collector. Max loves this. We are happy to have such a happy and fun garbage man!

First's

Mckenna and Max had their first twinkie at Auntie Pam's. Of course they loved it. And the other pic is of Max in the back of the van while we go to Whidbey on the ferry.

Max thinking he is sneaky!

Max pulled a chair over to the counter where candy was sitting. He thought he was being sneaky but unfortunatly he cant out sneak mamma! ha ha

My little rugrats

For the time being, Mckenna has to have a hat and jacket on all day. She goes to the laundry door and makes her "gimme" grunt until I get her, her jacket and hat. As for Max, he cooks with me every night or day but on this night we made brownies with Nana.
