Mckenna Harriet Greene

About 3:30 am on 11/12/09 I woke up and could not fall back to sleep. I was leaking lots of fluid but my water didn't actually break. I couldn't figure out why since I wasn't having any contractions. So I cleaned and got our bags ready and then watched some TV. Justin woke up at 5:30 am for work and wondered what the hec I was doing up. I told him what was going on and that he should still go to work since I wasn't having contractions. He left for work and Max and I hung out then took a nap. We woke up at 9am and I was still leaking fluid. I thought this was weird and totally different than when I was in labor with Max. So I called the doctor to ask why this was happening and what I should do. She said, um your in labor and should go to the hospital. So I took a shower, dried my hair, put a little spray tan on and did my make up. I was sure this was not it but if it was, I wanted to take decent pictures. I called Justin and suggested he come home. Around 10am we left for the hospital and dropped of Max and grandma's. Once we got to the hospital they said I was there for good and that I was in early labor. At 3:30pm they induced me since I wasn't having contractions. By about 5pm I was having contractions and counting down the minutes until I could have an epidural. At 7pm my hero showed up and gave me an epidural. However it only worked on the right side of my body so the left felt totally normal. I felt like I was half baked (not literally). So they upped the dosage and then I was in heaven. They checked me at about 9:45 pm and she was ready to come out. The doc came in and I pushed 3 times on 1 contraction and she was out. Mckenna Harriet Greene was born at 10:01pm on 11/12/09. 6 lbs, 10 oz and 19 inches long. We have officially completed our family.

What a great story and a precious baby girl. I seriously LOVE your perfect little family. And, Max is adorable too, kissing his little sis! Hopefully all is well and you guys will find a routine soon!

I love you, Jannelle. Spray tan and all! I remember I had bought some of that "all day" lipstick and used it the day I was in labor, but then ate a purple popsicle, so I have purple mouth instead of beautiful MAC lips.
Darling kiddos, love your updates!!
