Family Days

These past few weeks have been very trying, happy, sad, interesting, and emotional. My grandpa is 90 and now is in home hospice. He is just getting old but still trying to hang on. But he has had a few hospital visits for falling or hitting his head. But we visit him and the kids really cheer him up. My uncle is battling caner again. He already beat throat cancer and now he has lung cancer that has spread. But he is determined to beat it. We went and hung out for the afternoon last week and the kids loved the golf cart. So we took it for a spin. Then onto my best friend and sister who graduated from nursing school. Yeahhhhh!! I can finally have her to myself. Its been a long 13 months of seeing her sporadically. But she reminds me what a true friend is and her family has been there for me since I was a kid. As I get older I realize how hard it is to make friends and find genuine people. These past few weeks have taught me to let go of the individuals who are negative or have a problem with judging. (my pet peeve)

Luke 6:37 "Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

So I am going to keep this passage fresh in my mind and not let neighbors, friends or family affect me negatively. Losing my father almost 2 years ago, my uncle battling cancer and my grandpa nearing his time to be with God, I realize what is important, who is important, and keeping a positive outlook on life. Ya just gotta leave the negative thoughts, people, things behind! Im sure some of you will find this post shocking since Im not one to say how I feel. But I am letting too many things and people affect me negatively when I know its not me its THEM!! Amen.... I have two beautiful, smart, healthy kids and a man who puts other men to shame!!! He is so supportive, fun, best dad and very hands on, and just my best friend. They are what life is!!

My uncles place in Olympia. It has an amazing view.

At my grandpas in Olympia. He has an amazing view of the capital building. He build this house in the 80's and still lives there.

My 90 year old grandpa. He is still hanging on!

Food is not her friend.

Mckenna was hanging with the girls from our neighborhood. It was the cutest thing.

My best friend and sister. She graduated nursing school this weekend so I got to leave the kids with Justin for a night and go visit her in Washougal. I also got to see my other mom and nana. My 2nd family is everything to me.

Nana is hiting on the guy next to her (j/k), Amy, Ron, Mom, and Simone

All of my 2nd family! Love them

This was hilarious. Reece brought her horse up to the door so I could pet it. They also have chickens, goats, dogs, cats and one other horse.

She loves her vitamins. She pulls the chair up to the counter and gets them herself.
